Take the World, But Give Me Jesus Take the world, but give me Jesus; All its joys are but a name, But His love abideth ever, Thro’ eternal years the same. Chorus: O the height and depth of mercy! O the length and breadth of love! O the fullness of redemption – Pledge of endless life above! Take the world, but give me Jesus, Sweetest comfort of my soul; With my Savior watching o’er me, I can sing tho’ billows roll. Take the world, but give me Jesus; In His cross my trust shall be, Till, with clearer, brighter vision, Face to face my Lord I see. Words: Fanny J. Crosby, 1879 Music: John R. Sweney, 1879 Piano Arr. by Esther R. Stone, 2011

The Love of God The love of God is greater far Than tongue or pen can ever tell; It goes beyond the highest star, And reaches to the lowest hell. The guilty pair, bowed down with care, God gave His Son to win; His erring child He reconciled, And pardoned from his sin. When years of time shall pass away, And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall, When men who here refuse to pray, On rocks and hills and mountains call, God’s love so sure shall still endure, All measureless and strong; Redeeming grace to Adam’s race – The saints’ and angels’ song. Could we with ink the ocean fill, And were the skies of parchment made, Were ev’ry stalk on earth a quill, And ev’ry man a scribe by trade, To write the love of God above Would drain the ocean dry; Nor could the scroll contain the whole, Tho’ stretched from sky to sky. Chorus: O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure – The saints’ and angel’s song! Words: Frederick M. Lehman, 1917; stanza 3, Meir Ben Isaac Nehorai, 1050 Music: Frederick M. Lehman, 1917 Piano Arr. by Esther R. Stone, 2013

Wonderful Peace Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm; In celestial-like strains it unceasingly falls O’er my soul like an infinite calm. Chorus: Peace! Peace! Wonderful peace Coming down from the Father above! Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray, In fathomless billows of love. I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace, Resting sweetly in Jesus’ control; For I’m kept from all danger by night and by day, And His glory is flooding my soul. Ah! Soul, are you here without comfort or rest, Marching down the rough pathway of time? Make Jesus your Friend ere the shadows grow dark. O accept this sweet peace so sublime! Words: W. D. Cornell, 19th c. (alt.) Music: W. G. Cooper, 19th c. Piano Arr. by Esther R. Stone, 2011
